Trapped Selves Escape

·2 min read·317 words
The dream takes place at my parents' house, where I, along with several different versions of myself from various dimensions, am trapped and shrunken to a very small size. The dream begins with me embodying various weaker versions of myself. Each attempts to escape, almost all failing with great difficulty. Each is confined within a unique designer room, equipped with special traps and monitored by its own control room. The second-to-last embodiment nearly escapes, getting out of its trapped room but being captured upon reaching the outside of the house. The final embodiment, equipped with a powerful suit, is capable of crushing anything with ease. I wait until an alarm sounds from one of the other 'me's' attempting escape, then I break through to my control room. There, I crush everything, including all the monitoring equipment. Then I break out of the room, hop onto the cat, and ride it like a giant horse. Once outside the house, my parents seem oblivious, as my specific alarm never sounded, and they are preoccupied with another version of myself. As I reach the exterior, a rabbit is released to capture me, but from atop the cat, I'm able to punch it away and make a swift escape. I then attempt to get away and go home, vividly remembering the path. All the while, I can still hear them, as if they are inside my head. I stop quickly to check if I have some sort of earpiece, but it seems to be psychic. I get home, where the dream shifts. I am lying in my bed; it looks more like real life now than before, and I am somewhat paralyzed. I overhear a couple in the house, played by people I know but seemingly representing my parents. They briefly mention me, then continue for a long time discussing games, seemingly not caring about me but effectively holding me hostage.
