The Rabbi's Assistant, The Buddha's Wisdom, and Inner Reflection

In this dream, I inhabit the perspective of the right-hand man to a Jewish family. This character is portrayed by Adam Sandler, implicitly understood to be an 'Abraham' figure within the family structure. Throughout the dream, there's a subtle hint that this portrayal is an unconscious representation of myself. Before a significant event, he offers advice to the family. He is then presented with the teachings of the Buddha by someone and asked for his opinion. He excuses himself, heading to the bathroom, and as his assistant, I follow. While he is inside, peculiar sounds emerge – unusually distinct for a dream, almost like actual defecation, which surprised me given my limited lucidity. Subsequently, the family calls me over, inquiring about his whereabouts. I respond that he is still 'mulling things over.' They then ask what he thinks of the teachings he was presented with. At this point, an unfamiliar character resembling the 'Fat Buddha' looks directly into my eyes. For a moment, the dream seems to consist solely of him. He declares that 'burning out of the flame and reaching nirvana is the highest form of aspiration.' Later, the Rabbi's assistant returns. When asked for his thoughts, he remains silent for a moment, then begins to preach the Dharma.
