Rooftop to Nightmare

·2 min read·236 words
I found myself on a city rooftop, completely enveloped in cloth, much like a mummy. Leaping off the edge, I began swinging through the air like Spider-Man, each "web" a strip of the cloth that had bound me. With every swing, more cloth unraveled and peeled away from my body. Finally, I screamed, "I'm free!" Later, I was abruptly teleported into a dark and mysterious place. Fully lucid, I recognized it as an abandoned, darker version of a bunker from a previous dream—my former "castle" transformed into a nightmare. Spooky, horror-movie-like elements surrounded me. Despite the eerie environment, I remained unfazed. Realizing I was in a dream, I walked around without fear, even audaciously yelling "Eat my balls!" at any demons that appeared. However, when I moved too fast or acted without thinking, I could feel my lucidity begin to slip. So, I consciously began moving with intention and maintained constant awareness of my present state. At the end of this dungeon, there was a hidden door I knew led to a bright light. It was guarded by a zombie and another guard. As I walked toward it, the zombie attacked and the guard tried to block me, but I was undeterred. I allowed the zombie to get in a few bites and the guard to push me back, yet I continued to press forward, getting ever closer to the door. Finally, I passed through it.
