Avatar's Power Wane

·1 min read·213 words
I found myself in my primary school, in the midst of a class, but the faces around me were those of my high school classmates. Gaining a degree of lucidity, I thought, "I'm 23, I've already been through high school once; I don't want to relive it in my dreams." I began to meditate, then flew outside, recalling that I possessed "avatar powers." I started to manipulate the terrain outside the school, creating a giant lake, which drew all the students from inside out to witness what was unfolding. I then continued bending the water, shaping it into a massive mountain. Next, I began constructing a colossal castle. I also started teaching some of the kids how to bend, and they began to help, though initially, I had to guide their bending efforts considerably. Once the castle was built, I continued working, aiming for every tile to be perfect. I first used my earthbending to create the tiles, then began firebending each one. The more I did this, the more my powers began to wane. Eventually, my firebending was completely gone, and my water and earthbending were severely weakened. I felt as though I had become an old man, with not much time left. I spent the remainder of the dream in meditation.
